Job Title : Finish Grinder (Grinder / Polisher)

Location : Newport, MN

A manufacturing company in Newport, MN is seeking a skilled Finish Grinder to join its production team. This hands-on position involves finishing stainless steel components to high quality standards using a range of grinding and polishing tools.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Operate grinding and polishing equipment, including belt sanders, disc grinders, and finishing tools.
  • Restore stainless steel welds to a #4 finish.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure part accuracy and consistency.
  • Inspect finished workpieces for defects and deviations.
  • Accurately track materials used and time spent on tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily production goals.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and procedures.

Requirements :

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience in grinding, polishing, or metal finishing.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools in a manufacturing environment.
  • Capable of lifting 15–50 lbs and performing repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a proactive mindset.

    • Schedule :

    Monday–Thursday, 6 : 00am–3 : 00pm; Friday, 6 : 00am–12 : 00pm.

    Pay range : $22.00–$27.00 per hour.

    Full-time, on-site position.
