Hotel Director of Sales & Marketing Qualifications
Minimum 5 years leading a hotel sales department, with extensive full-service Marriott background (non-negotiable)Demonstrated success in driving group sales, selling properties with 250+ keys and 20,000+ sq. ft. of meeting / events spaceStrong people leader with experience managing and motivating teams of 8+; able to train, mentor, and develop top-performing talentExpertise in revenue management, pricing strategies, and positioning to consistently achieve or exceed budgetDeep knowledge of the Atlanta market preferred, with active involvement in local business and hotel sales organizationsProficiency with systems, analytics, and digital marketing, including social media strategyBA / BS in Hospitality Management preferred (or equivalent experience)Hotel Director of Sales & Marketing Responsibilities
Lead, inspire, and develop a team of 8 in Sales & Conference Services, fostering a culture of excellence and accountabilityOwn revenue responsibility for designated market segments, with a focus on driving group sales growthDevelop and implement annual sales and marketing plans, ensuring alignment with market trends and competitive positioningExecute successful social media and advertising campaigns to strengthen the hotel’s visibility and brandBuild and maintain strong relationships with business clients, local community leaders, and industry organizationsDeliver exceptional experiences for guests and clients while consistently exceeding revenue goals.Report directly to the General Manager as a key member of the property’s executive team.
