Industrial Maintenance Electrician – CNC / PLC Systems

A day in the life

You start by reviewing overnight maintenance tickets, then head to a CNC cell where a Fanuc-controlled machine has an intermittent fault. You read the electrical schematics, trace the issue through the PLC, and validate HMI alarms. A quick VFD check reveals a parameter drift—adjust, test, and the line is back at rate. Next up : moving and aligning a piece of equipment so it runs true with upstream inspection gear. In the afternoon, you collaborate with operators and quality to implement a PLC logic tweak born from a continuous improvement idea. You wrap the day finishing a facility-wide repair—basic mechanical and electrical work that keeps the plant safe and reliable.

What you’ll do

• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues on production, quality, and inspection equipment.
• Relocate, set, and align machinery to ensure proper operation.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement efforts; convert CI ideas into control and program updates.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC, PC, NC, and CNC control systems.
• Perform electrical tasks and basic mechanical installs / repairs throughout the facility.
