Clinical Inpatient / Outpatient Document Integrity Specialist (CDIS)

Location : Lt. Col. Luke Weathers, Jr. VA Medical Center

Address : 116 North Pauline Street, Memphis, TN 38104

Schedule : Monday to Friday, 7 : 30 AM – 4 : 00 PM

Pay : $45–$55 per hour, based on experience

Contract Length : 2 years (October 1, 2025 – September 30, 2027)

Position Summary :

We are seeking a Certified Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist (CDIS) to support inpatient and outpatient documentation integrity services for eligible beneficiaries at the Lt. Col. Luke Weathers, Jr. VA Medical Center in Memphis, TN.

This position plays a critical role in improving documentation quality, coding accuracy, and overall data integrity for veteran care. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, certified professionals with relevant clinical or medical records experience.

Duties Include :

• Reviewing medical records to ensure accurate and complete clinical documentation.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and coding staff to clarify documentation and ensure proper coding.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of documentation standards, coding regulations, and CDI best practices.
• Providing documentation updates and certification proof to the VA COR annually during the contract.
