We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our remote team. This is a permanent position with a leading company in the healthcare industry. The successful candidate will play a significant role in managing the financial obligations of our company and ensuring we meet these obligations in a timely, efficient manner. You will be a part of a vibrant, fast-paced environment where your contribution will directly impact the financial health and success of our organization.

Responsibilities :

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your key responsibilities will include :

1. Processing and verifying invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment.

2. Administering credit memos and reconciling accounts to ensure accurate record keeping.

3. Performing monthly reconciliations of all payable accounts.

4. Coding invoices to the appropriate general ledger (GL) accounts.

5. Preparing and processing electronic transfers and payments.

6. Maintaining vendor files and responding to vendor inquiries about payment status.

7. Assisting in month-end closing procedures, including preparing necessary reports.

8. Contributing to the development and implementation of systems for managing accounts payable.

9. Working closely with other departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.

10. Ensuring compliance with all internal controls and procedures related to accounts payable.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for the Accounts Payable Specialist role should possess the following qualifications :

1. A minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounts payable role, preferably within the healthcare industry.

2. Proficiency in general ledger coding and reconciliation.

3. Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and procedures.

4. Experience with accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

5. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

6. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

9. Problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve discrepancies and issues efficiently.

10. A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
