Description

Primary responsibility is to lead the engineering and refinement of advanced automated cannabis co-packing machines. Will be responsible for ensuring all machine specifications, design ideas and concepts and projects the team is working on. Driving out cost and improving system efficiency will be paramount for all automation we are currently designing or buying. Collaborate with automation, controls, and operation teams to integrate new equipment designs into production lines.

Requirements

Experience in equipment development, high-speed automation, or robotics (CPG, packaging, pharma, or similar industries is a plus.

• A Lean / Six Sigma mindset — you think in terms of throughput, OEE, and failure modes, not just machine parts.
• A natural problem-solver : you're energized by diagnosing bottlenecks and designing creative, first-principles solutions.
• Hands-on builder : you're as comfortable on the floor with tools as you are in CAD.
• Adaptability and drive to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, balancing precision with speed.
• Strong communication skills — able to work with operators, leadership, and even customers when needed.
