Job Responsibilities :

In support of Project Romeo and the overall success of this major initiative, below is the business rationale and recommendation for engaging a contract OpEx professional to be dedicated to this effort and responsible for driving completion of the following tasks :

Optimize work center layout :

Create performance visual display boards (e.g., Tier 1 boards, problem solving boards).
Create standard work instructions for core processes (e.g., changeovers, start of / end of shift).
Create visual aids (e.g., work center process signage, process workflow maps).

Optimize operator work cell layout :

Create tool shadow boards.

Establish point of use placement of tools and other process aids.

Evaluate and update workstation surfaces as applicable (re : part protection).

Establish autonomous maintenance plans + standard work for process equipment.

Create daily-weekly-monthly 5S task assignments.

Create visual aids (e.g., DBH boards, min / max material indicators, inbound / outbound areas, control plans).

Assess ergonomic risks and implement appropriate solutions.

Optimize value streams :

Create and / or update performance visual display boards (e.g., Tier 2, Tier 3).

Create visual aids (e.g., value stream map).

Utilizing a dedicated contract OpEx resource will accelerate realization and sustainment of operational excellence benefits while allowing the core Project Romeo team to focus on critical tasks associated with this initiative with goal of quickly resuming production operations.

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to provide Lean / Operational Excellence support on a contingent basis. This role will contribute to the deployment and sustainment of the S+N Operating System in support of Project Romeo.

Key Responsibilities :

Optimize work center and work cell layouts through the creation of visual Tiered Accountability and Problem-Solving display boards and other visual aids.

Partner with cross-functional teams to create standard work instructions for core processes.

Assist in optimizing workflow by creating and standardizing tool shadow boards and point of use placement of tools and other process aids.

Analyze and update workstations to reduce risk of part handling damage.

Partner with cross-functional teams to establish 5S task assignments, and autonomous maintenance plans.

Collaborate with team members to assess ergonomic risks within the work cell and implement appropriate solutions.

Perform additional duties as directed.
