Job Purpose

This position manages a small team of CML Closing & Servicing Specialists. It oversees work with Legal, Tax, Compliance, Investment Accounting and TruStage Capital Advisors Cash Management and Investment professionals to facilitate and coordinate closing deals. It manages the closing transactions for the assigned asset class committed to TruStage Capital Advisors. The role also leads and manages the servicing and monitoring of portfolios for TruStage Capital Advisors on behalf of CUNA Mutual Insurance Society. It is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and reporting investment data, maintaining accuracy of systems, monitoring portfolio compliance and trade settlement, and participating in select projects. It participates in and contributes toward the development of the investment operation's investment processes and policies that achieve the objectives of investment operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Recommend and / or approve servicing requests from mortgage banking correspondents.
• Review borrower requests including, but not limited to, estate planning transfers, assumptions, partial release, condemnation requests, insurance losses, escrow and cash flow sweep disbursements.
• Ensure servicing responses adhere to terms of the loan documents unless otherwise negotiated.
• Work with internal & external counsel, production team, and correspondent servicers to ensure timely response to servicing requests.
• Act as liaison to correspondent servicers and address concerns surrounding the servicing agreement, servicing manual, and / or their performance as necessary.
• Oversee progress of annual financial review and inspections to ensure full completion.
• Work with legal, mortgage bankers, producers to ensure timely closing of CMLs.
• Review and sign off on loan terms in PLM for each loan closed.
• Manage and develop junior staff (currently Jr Analyst – Closing, Servicing & Investment Ops & CML Closing Specialist).
• Assess closing & servicing workflow and assign closings and requests to staff to ensure timely response and execution.
• Work with junior staff to allow time for professional development as their career interests evolve.
• Monitor evolution of the closing & servicing department as the CML portfolio grows and needs change.
• Monitor and stay up to date on industry trends and changes.
• Participate in MBA peer groups and related committees as applicable.
• Complete RBC reporting on a quarterly basis.
• Act as main point of contact for all audit requests; internal, Deloitte, and servicer or borrower.
• Ad hoc reporting to production team and senior TruStage Capital Advisors leadership.
• Act as liaison with third party sub-advisor on settlement and management of residential whole loans.

Compensation may vary based on the job level, geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.

Base Salary Range

$122,600.00 - $183,900.00
