Position Overview
We are seeking an Interventional Pain Management Physician Assistant to join a dynamic and growing pain management team in Asheville, North Carolina . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interventional pain procedures, exceptional clinical judgment, and a passion for improving patient outcomes.
This is a full-time, W2, in-person position . The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM .
This position will require you to travel to different facilities throughout the city to provide care and support across multiple clinic locations. The successful candidate will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the supervising physician with diagnostic and interventional pain management procedures , including injections, nerve blocks, and other minimally invasive treatments
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments , including medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic interpretation
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician
- Evaluate patient progress and modify care plans as needed
- Perform pre-operative and post-operative evaluations and provide patient education regarding treatment options and recovery
- Manage medication refills , prescription renewals, and coordination of care
- Ensure all documentation and charting in the electronic medical record (EMR) system is complete and accurate
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute to care coordination efforts
- Adhere to all clinical, legal, and regulatory standards of practice
- Maintain a professional demeanor and commitment to patient satisfaction across all facilities
Qualifications
Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited programActive and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in North CarolinaNCCPA certification requiredActive DEA certification required (or open to obtaining if not currently active)2+ years of experience in interventional pain management, anesthesiology, orthopedics, or related field preferred (open to new grads)Proficiency in performing and assisting with pain management proceduresStrong clinical decision-making and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environmentWillingness and ability to travel between local facilitiesCurrent BLS and ACLS certificationsCompensation & Benefits
Salary Range : $105,000 to $140,000 per year (based on years of experience)Bonus Incentive Program : Paid out quarterly, averaging between $25,000 to $30,000 annuallyPaid Time Off : 15 days per year, 8 paid holidays, 5 paid CME days, and CME reimbursementCompetitive benefits package
