Sentara CarePlex Hospital is currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator / RNUC for the Intermediate Care / Stepdown Unit.

Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator / Charge Nurse demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.

Education

• RN-Bachelor's Degree, or
• RN-Master's Degree

Unit Overview

The 32-bed Intermediate Care / Stepdown Unit at Sentara CarePlex Hospital is a designated Stroke Unit. Staff on this unit provide care for Respiratory compromised patients on Bipap, High-flo and / or Chronic Long Term vents. Some of the patients have tracheostomies and some patients are waiting for placement in a long-term facility. This incredible team is hiring experienced and new graduate nursing staff.
