The Quality Engineer ensures that repair station activities are compliant with Customer, Regulatory, and Industry Certifications (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9000, and EASA).

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site audits of poor performing vendors, as required
• Perform on-site audits of new vendors, as required
• Perform source inspections, as required
• Respond to customer supplier surveys; research customer specs to ensure compliance with NADCAP and AS9100
• Provide oversight and assistance with Operations, Engineering and Purchasing in addressing vendor improvement requirements
• Plan, develop, and execute the audit schedule to ensure all appropriate aspects of AS9100 are reviewed; train auditors
• Support the review and release of QMS procedures to assure compliance to AS9100
• Assure record retention requirements of audits and corrective actions are maintained in compliance with policies and regulations
