Leahy Vetting Management Analyst
The Leahy Vetting Management Analyst is required to have an active TS / SCI clearance to be considered. A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify. The analyst provides policy advice and support on Leahy-related issues and daily operations within the bureau, conducts daily vetting procedures for security force units and individuals seeking Department of State assistance in the EUR region, and maintains contact with assigned posts and desks. They analyze information from classified databases, recommend courses of action for embassies / offices when derogatory information is found, and ensure consistency in vetting procedures. The analyst develops policy recommendations on sensitive U.S. positions and works with a team of foreign affairs officers on human rights, democracy, labor, religious freedom, and trafficking in persons issues.
The analyst reports to the PGI Democracy and Human Rights Team Leader, operates with a high level of independence, and produces analytical products to support EUR / PGI assessments. This position requires a Master\'s Degree or equivalent and one year of relevant professional experience, or a Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent and two years of relevant professional experience.
Compensation & Benefits
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Leahy Vetting Management Analyst : $107,918.56
Pay commensurate with experience.
