Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic HVAC Account Manager dedicated primarily to seeking out and securing new business opportunities. This role is ideal for a self-motivated sales professional with a strong background in business development and new account acquisition. The New Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new client relationships - expanding our customer base and transitioning accounts to drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, target, and develop new business opportunities within the HVAC sector, focusing on light commercial and / or residential markets as assigned
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients through networking, cold calling, industry events, and referrals
  • Conduct business development initiatives, including presentations, proposals, and negotiations, to secure new accounts
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve growth targets and increase market penetration
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and transition to aligned to territory manager
  • Prepare and present regular reports on new business development progress and account status to management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in sales, business development, or account management
  • Proven track record of successfully acquiring new business and achieving sales targets
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills  Proficiency with MS Office Suite, sales analytics tools and CRM platforms
  • Willingness to travel locally 70%+ to meet with prospective clients and customers and attend industry events as needed
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish / English), a plus  HVAC experience preferred; NOT required
