Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Rad Tech with ARRT and Illinois IEMA licensure for a cardiac cath and special procedures contract, requiring cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology experience.
Responsibilities
Work in a cardiac catheterization and special procedures labPatient care includes adult cardiac and interventional radiology populationsDuties include administering contrast, assisting physicians during invasive procedures, maintaining sterile fields, and supporting inventory managementRotates as scrub and monitor technologist during procedures4x10 hour day shifts (Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 AM-6 : 00 PM)On-call requirement every third weekend (Friday through Sunday) and 1-2 weekdaysFloat to all procedural areas as neededEpic EMR experience requiredDuties include administration of contrast and medication within scope, patient assessment for allergies, equipment troubleshooting, and accurate documentationExpected to provide for patient care, comfort, and confidentiality during proceduresMaintains a clean, organized environment and anticipates procedural needsStrict compliance deadlines for onboarding requirementsAll travelers must provide 30-day advance notice for assignment cancellationsAssignments may not exceed one calendar year from start date; a 30-60 day break is required before returningRTO (requested time off) may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contractNo travel partners accepted and only one submission per candidate within the health systemRequirements
Current ARRT (R) certification and IEMA Radiography License requiredBLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association are requiredAssociate’s degree in a related field or certificate in radiologic technology requiredMinimum of 1 year of cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology experience requiredNeuro interventional and EP experience preferredExperience with Epic EMR requiredLevel 1 trauma experience requiredAbility to take call after 6 months of orientationLicense required if applicableMust live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not acceptedBenefits
