Primary Care Physician (MD / DO) – Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Location :

  • Escondido, California Job Type : Full-Time | Outpatient Only | 40 Hours per Week | Will consdier 32 Hours per Week Compensation : $268,000 – $380,000 annually, depending on specialty and experience Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM | No Nights or Weekends Sign-On Bonus : $15,000 Position Overview A mission-driven nonprofit community health center in Escondido, California is seeking a full-time Primary Care Physician trained in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine .
  • This is an outpatient-only position with no hospital call, evenings, or weekends.

Physicians who are passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse populations are encouraged to apply.

  • Responsibilities Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care, including preventive services, chronic disease management, and acute care visits.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions for patients across the lifespan.
  • Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs and imaging.
  • Prescribe medications and administer vaccinations.
  • Provide prenatal and postnatal care if within training and scope.
  • Coordinate care with specialists, behavioral health, and support services.
  • Document all patient encounters accurately in the EHR within 72 hours.
  • Collaborate with nurses, medical assistants, and interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and training.
  • Precept residents or medical students when applicable.
  • Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Active and unrestricted California medical license.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Current DEA registration and BLS certification.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or Arabic preferred, but not required.

    • Compensation Family Medicine :

  • $268,000 – $363,000 annually.

    • Internal Medicine :

  • $281,000 – $380,000 annually.
  • Performance-based monthly incentive bonus.
  • Four hours of protected administrative time per week.
