Certified Nursing Assistant / ED Float - Syracuse, NY (#25282)

Location :   Syracuse, NY

Employment Type :  Full-time

Hourly Rate :  $31 per hour

Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Certified Nursing Assistant to serve as a vital member of the Emergency Department float team. In this dynamic role, you will provide essential patient care across the ED, supporting nursing staff and ensuring a high standard of care in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center environment.

  • Work Schedule :
  • Full-time position

  • Day, Evening, and Night Shifts available
  • 6 shifts (12 hours) in a two-week period

  • Qualifications :

  • Education :  High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensure :  Active New York State CNA Certification and CPR certification (required).
  • Experience :  Minimum of 1 year of direct patient care experience. Must have Level 1 trauma experience.
  • Technical Skills :  Proficiency in vital signs, patient hygiene, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Soft Skills :  Must be adaptable, compassionate, and able to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced environment. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.
  • Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff, assist with ADLs, and obtain and record vital signs.
  • Assist with procedures, transport patients, and maintain a clean and safe patient environment.)
