Director of Ministry Strategy & Communication

Key Responsibilities

Ministry Integration :

Develop and oversee systems, workflows and structures that support ministry alignment and effectiveness.

Operations Oversight :

Manage church database, calendar and facility use for maximum ministry impact.

Communications Leadership :

Lead internal and external communication strategies, ensuring consistency across all platforms (website, email, social media, print).

Team Development :

Recruit, equip and lead volunteers or part-time staff supporting operations and communications.

Leadership Collaboration :

Help contribute to vision and strategy.

Qualifications

A vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with Ankeny Free Church’s mission and values.

Leadership experience in organizational strategy, communications or ministry operations (church or nonprofit preferred).

Strong skills in strategic planning, systems-building and communication.

Familiarity with church management systems (e.g., Planning Center, Breeze) a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership, communications or ministry leadership preferred.

Compensation & Schedule

Full-time, on-site position with some evening / weekend availability.

Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
