As an Admissions & UR Manager at Devereux Children's Behavior Health Center (DCBHC), you will work with other dedicated professionals internally and externally who share your passion for helping children and youth by ensuing a fluid collaborative admissions process to ensure the proper psychiatric inpatient services are being provided to the children we serve. You will serve as a liaison between Devereux, funders, and referral sources to address areas of concern and ensure efficient access to services.

Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC) the only free standing children's psychiatric hospital in Chester County, Pennsylvania, employs a team of acute care professionals dedicated to meeting the needs of children and adolescents, ages 5 to 18, and their families, in acute mental health crisis. Many of the individuals we serve are from southeast Pennsylvania, but DCBHC has served children and adolescents from other regions of Pennsylvania, as well as neighboring states. Our treatment team, which includes psychiatrists, clinical case managers, nurses, teachers, licensed psychologists and clinical social workers, along with the family and child, work together to create a safety, stabilization and treatment plan that focuses on a successful discharge of the child back to his or her community, or lesser level of care. The majority of children stay at DCBHC between three days and 21 days. The stay could be longer based on the presenting symptoms.

Every day as an Admissions & Utilization Review Manager you will...

• Supervise overall operations of DCBHC admission & UR department in accordance with internal and external requirements and regulations
• Serve as liaison between Devereux, funders, and referral sources to addresses areas of concern and ensure efficient access to services
• Act as a source of information, support, and acts as a conduit between parties
• Provides supervision and guidance to departmental employees by communicating and ensuring compliance with organizational, regulatory and funder policies and procedures

You will be offered :

Pennsylvania Children's Services (DPACS) serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

Qualifications

EDUCATION : Bachelors degree in public relations, communications, human services or related field, Masters Degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE : 3 years of experience in Admissions. 2 years of prior supervisory experience. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection / analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer). Strong organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines.

Valid driver's license must be maintained.
