Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week (12-hour days) with a 36-hour guarantee

Weekly Stipend : $318.31

Weekly Taxable Pay : $531.42

Overview :

Join the dynamic emergency department team at MyMichigan Health - Gratiot as a Registered Nurse (RN - ER). In this pivotal role, you will deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to diverse patient populations including emergency, observation, and outpatient cases. You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team committed to providing timely and safe care in a supportive environment. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced RNs seeking a rewarding, fast-paced ER setting with a stable schedule.

Key Responsibilities :

Patient Care & Assessment : Conduct thorough assessments, administer medications, treatments, and provide education tailored to individual patient needs. Respond promptly to patient alarms, assist with transfers, and operate medical equipment skillfully.

Immediate Response & Critical Care : Initiate lifesaving interventions when physicians are not immediately available, demonstrating clinical competence in emergency situations.

Collaboration & Communication : Work seamlessly with physicians, EMS, and team members to relay information accurately and provide clear discharge instructions, ensuring safety and understanding for patients and families.

Compassion & Relationship-Based Care : Deliver nonjudgmental, empathetic care that addresses both the physical and psychological comfort of patients, using the Relationship-Based Care Model.

Regulatory & Policy Compliance : Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal policies, to ensure compliant and high-quality care.

What You Bring :

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of practice, in good standing.

Demonstrated experience working in an emergency department or acute care setting preferred.

Ability to perform multiple complex nursing procedures efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Strong communication skills, particularly in relaying critical information to EMS and team members in high-pressure situations.

Compassionate and patient-focused attitude with a dedication to delivering exemplary care.

Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations, multitask, and demonstrate resilience in a stressful environment.

Preferred Education & Experience :

Educational Background : Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (ASN or BSN).

Experience : At least 1-2 years of ER or acute care nursing experience preferred.

Certifications :

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification must be current .

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred .

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred .
