The Cato Corporation is seeking an experienced Retirement Plan Manager to join our HR Team!

JOB SUMMARY :

The Retirement Plan Manager reports to the SVP, Treasury, Tax & Credit, Secretary and manages and administers all aspects of the company’s Retirement plans : 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Plan (“ESPP”), Employee Stock Ownership Plan (“ESOP”), and Deferred Compensation plans including the annual open enrollment process, compliance reporting and invoicing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• 401(k) : Day-to-day administration, which includes Quarterly Open Enrollment, Annual Non-Discrimination Testing and return of excess funds to highly compensated employees (“HCEs”), loans, Roll-Overs billing, Catch-Up Contribution determination, and other administrative tasks.
• ESPP : Bi-annual Open Enrollment and Stock Purchase, Quarterly Dividend Administration, Disqualifying Dispositions and Suspensions, Cancellations, and Refunds.
• ESOP : Annual Census and Eligibility reports, Distributions for termed associates, Diversification for eligible associates, minimum required distributions, Quarterly Associate Statements, and maintenance.
• NQ Deferred Compensation Plan : Annual Open Enrollment, HCE determination, Plan census and overview, billing, and maintenance.
• Annual External Audit : Work with third-party provider to compile data, answer questions on 401(k) and ESOP plans.
• Point of contact for current and former associates regarding all retirement plan questions and concerns.
• Provide backup support to the Benefits Manager, as needed.
• Assist with other ad hoc projects
