About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Profession : RN (Registered Nurse)

Shift : 12 Hour Nights

Hours per Shift : Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 3 years in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Gynecological care

License : Valid RN license

Certifications : CPR / BLS, ACLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Must-Have :

Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.

Willing to float to neonatal nursery and NICU.

Willing to work nights and some day shifts.

STABLE certification preferred but not required.

Description :

Care for Labor and Delivery patients and provide nursing care during delivery.

Manage care for high-risk patients during labor and delivery.

Provide postpartum care for both mother and baby.

Assist with gynecological surgical postoperative care.

Utilize equipment such as fetal monitors, suction devices, oxygen, and vital signs monitors.

Complete documentation using centralized monitoring for Labor and Delivery and electronic health record systems.

Nurse to patient ratio for Labor and Delivery is 1 : 1 or 1 : 2, and for postpartum care, it is 1 : 3 for mother / baby couplets.

Support surgical postoperative gynecological care with a combined ratio of 1 : 5-6 for mom / baby and gynecological patients.

Dress code is navy blue scrubs for gynecological and mother / baby care.

Provide help in the neonatal nursery and NICU as needed.

Participate in unit-specific training upon arrival.

Cancellation policy allows for client cancellations up to 12 hours every 13 weeks.

Charting system utilized is EPIC.

This is a trauma level 2 care setting in an acute environment.
