The Estimator / Project Manager will perform estimating and bidding of asphalt public and private / non-prime projects. Assist and coordinate with the General Manager and Operations to deliver safe, focused efficient, and profitable construction projects. Supports a business culture that values safe and efficient production. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of best practices and products in the construction industry.

Responsibilities
The Estimator will :
Evaluate and bid projects with accuracy, completeness, and profitabilityCoordinate project scheduling with project construction managerUtilize pricing parameters on trucking and equipment rates, and materialsMeasure and adjust processes to meet customer commitmentsReview job cost reports daily and reconciles projects monthlyMonitor systems and projects against KPIs to take advantage of incentives and avoid penaltiesRepresent the company in meetings with customersMaintain relevant knowledge of the industry, products, and sales territoryIdentify methods for expanding customer accountsIdentify and follow up on potential business leadsEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standardsCultivate and maintain good working relationships with subcontractors and suppliersCultivate and maintain good working relationships with fellow estimators and managersRegularly travel to job sites to support communication and gain understandingEvaluate, analyze, and assist in the resolution of field problemsReview payables related to projects and approve checks weeklyPresents safety talks to crew members and participates in risk assessmentsPerform other projects and duties assigned by the managerSkills
The ideal candidate will have :
Bachelor's degree in constructions or related discipline is preferredKnowledge of product and industry including mix designs, pricing, quality issues delivery procedures and plant operationsExcellent customer service skillsKnowledge of contract negotiationsExcellent math skills and acumen for estimating sophisticated projectsAbility to sit, stand, walk, for extended periods, lift 50lbs, and climbAbility to tolerate noise and temperature variationsValid Driver's License and the ability to safely drive a company vehicleTo Apply :
