Offering a rigorous JD program with the flexibility of online learning, St. Francis School of Law is accredited by the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California, preparing students for success in the legal field. We are currently seeking future faculty members to teach all current and future California Bar Exam subjects as well as all typical law school elective courses and any innovative elective courses you’d like to pitch for our consideration. For each California Bar Exam subject, you’ll be expected to teach the entirety of the Bar’s Content Map for that subject. Ideal candidates will possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a law school approved by the American Bar Association, accredited by the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California, or registered with the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California. Admission to at least one U.S. jurisdiction is required, though an active license is not mandatory, provided there has been no disbarment or suspension resulting from formal disciplinary action. Living in California is not a prerequisite for joining the Adjunct Faculty. Preferred qualifications include prior experience teaching at a law school and expertise in delivering instruction in an online format. Successful candidates will believe in and support our student first philosophy while contributing to the overall success of St. Francis School of Law and Baker College, acting as positive role models and brand ambassadors on- and off-campus. In accordance with California’s Pay Transparency Act, the compensation for this adjunct faculty position is generally based upon a rate of $500 per week.
