Senior Building Automation Engineer

Remote position based anywhere in the U.S. Enhanced employee referral bonus of $3,000.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned project quality control reviews ensuring technical and scope accuracy while identifying change order opportunities and documenting all results.
  • Identify and track errors and omissions provided by the Operations Centers, communicate corrective actions and provide best practice training.
  • Evaluate and respond to technical RFIs, respond to "Issues & Opportunities" record in ECT routed by the Engineering Coordinator. Perform ongoing maintenance of customer site standards in ECT.
  • Perform cost engineering reviews to ensure total cost of installation and material selection proposed by the Operations Centers is the most cost effective.
  • Inform Project Coordinator and Engineering Coordinator via ECT when submittals are ready for submission.
  • Provide regular coaching to project team members and Operations Center employees to ensure continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED.
  • 5+ years technical experience in HVAC Controls.
  • Ability to read and understand MEP drawings, specifications, network, and control wiring diagrams. Knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, and BACnet.
  • Ability to work in cloud-based platforms and adapt to shifting demands and competing priorities from internal partners to meet deadlines.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
