Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Overview

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our web and CTV (Connected TV) application teams in building next-generation streaming experiences. This role blends technical leadership with people management to ensure high-performing teams deliver engaging, scalable, and reliable apps across browsers and smart TVs. You will oversee engineers working with ReactJS for web platforms and LightningJS for CTVs, while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Management

Build, mentor, and motivate a team of front-end engineers across web and CTV platforms.

Provide architectural guidance for scalable, modular, and maintainable applications in ReactJS and LightningJS .

Drive performance optimizations for both browser apps and CTV devices , ensuring smooth playback, responsive UIs, and low memory usage.

Oversee sprint planning, execution, and delivery of key features and platform improvements.

Qualifications

7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in an engineering management role .

Strong knowledge of architecture patterns (modular design, SOLID principles, micro-frontends, etc.).

Exposure to OTT / CTV ecosystems (Roku, Fire TV, Samsung, LG, Vizio, etc.).
