Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee, lead, and manage technical activities across one or more engineering disciplines.
  • Evaluate the outcomes of research and development projects to ensure the achievement of technical objectives.
  • Select, mentor, and assess personnel to ensure efficient and effective operation of the team.
  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to develop front-end modules for the high-volume, fast-paced cellular handset market.
  • Engage in all phases of product development, including :

Product definition and architecture

  • System budget analysis
  • Transistor-level circuit design
  • Multi-chip module (MCM) design
  • Layout and layout supervision
  • Lab debugging and production support
  • Required Qualifications

    Education and Experience :

    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 15+ years of experience, or

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 13+ years of experience.
  • Core Skills :

    Expertise in leading RF front-end module design using EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso Keysight ADS , and HFSS

  • Proven experience in multi-chip module (MCM) design, including power amplifiers (PA), low-noise amplifiers (LNA), RF switches, or passive circuit design (e.g., integrated passive devices, couplers, baluns).
  • Strong circuit simulation capabilities using tools like Agilent ADS Momentum / EMX / Sonnet HFSS / CST , and Cadence , with the ability to bridge the gap between modeling, simulation, physical implementation, and measured performance.
  • Advanced lab skills for data collection, analysis, debugging, tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Key Responsibilities :

    Develop and execute comprehensive product development plans, including design, simulation, layout, and verification testing.

  • Plan and perform test and measurement activities to evaluate prototype designs, documenting and summarizing data to support team objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout all phases of product development : product definition, feasibility studies, and detailed product design.
  • Conduct and participate in peer reviews of designs, ensuring expected results align with actual outcomes.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the MIPI standard.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring products from concept to full production release.
  • Experience managing, training, and mentoring RF design engineers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong logical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to decompose complex problems, set priorities, report progress effectively, and execute projects according to schedule.
  • Passion for encouraging technical and professional development, as well as optimizing design flows and processes.
  • Compensation and Benefits :

    Starting base pay will be based on factors such as experience, skills, education, market demands, responsibilities, and location. The client offers a variety of base pay ranges for U.S. locations.
