A law firm seeks an experienced transactional attorney for its Orange County office, focusing on affordable housing transactions and tax credit projects. Remote candidates will be considered. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience advising clients in relevant areas and must be licensed in California.

Duties

Structure, negotiate, and document partnership and joint venture agreements involving low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC).
Draft joint venture agreements for developers across various real estate transactions.
Serve as a lead advisor to affordable housing developers utilizing diverse financing sources.
Advise clients on tax-efficient structuring for real estate projects.
Provide strategic guidance on structuring joint ventures and utilizing tax credits.

Requirements

Licensed to practice law in California.

Minimum of four years of experience in relevant legal areas.

Strong understanding of partnership tax matters.

Experience advising on LIHTC and compliance requirements.

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

Excellent negotiation and documentation skills.
