Punch Press / Washer Set-Up & Run

Location : South Minneapolis, MN

2nd shift : 3 : 30PM – 12 : 00AM, M-F

Training on 1st shift for 3-6 months depending on experience  (7 : 00AM - 3 : 30PM)

Contract-to-Hire Position

Pay Rate : $20.00-$23.00

Position Summary :

An ideal candidate will have had previous machine operating experience and will have worked in a metal stamping environment. This role will be responsible for setting up and operating various presses throughout the shop. Upon completing training and converting to a permanent employee, you will be automatically established within their Union and be eligible for union benefits.

Responsibilities :

Set-up and operate punch presses and support equipment.

• Perform operations such as blanking, bending, punching, and forming based on blueprints and other instructions
• Read and understand blueprints, routing sheets and / or work instructions to determine specifications
• Measure completed work and use shop math to verify conformance to specifications.
• Maintain production efficiencies of 80% of greater once trained.
• Other duties as assigned.
