Certified Medical Assistant : Monroe, Wisconsin

An exciting opportunity is available for skilled healthcare professionals in Monroe, Wisconsin (with occasional support at our Freeport location). We’re hiring Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) to work full-time on 1st shift. This position is ideal for detail-oriented and compassionate individuals who thrive in a fast-paced specialty clinic environment.

Responsibilities of the Certified Medical Assistant :

  • Room patients and act as a scribe during visits for the provider
  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure proper infection control and supply management
  • Take patient histories and vitals accurately
  • Assist dermatologists with skin exams and dermatologic procedures
  • Collect and process lab specimens
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, wound care, and skincare prevention
  • Manage documentation in the EMR system
  • Coordinate prescriptions, referrals, and schedule follow-up appointments
  • Support cosmetic dermatology services and patient education as needed

Certified Medical Assistant Requirements and Qualifications :

Education & Certification

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification

    • Experience

  • Previous medical assisting experience in dermatology or specialty clinic preferred
  • Familiarity with dermatologic procedures (biopsies, cryotherapy, wound care, cosmetic treatments) a plus
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)

    • Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
  • Proficiency in specimen collection, handling, and documentation
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and assist during procedures
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and following HIPAA regulations

    • Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Manual dexterity to handle instruments and perform procedures
  • Required to travel between Freeport and Monroe offices

    • Pay for Certified Medical Assistant : $22–$23 / hour
