A law firm seeks a Minors Compromise Attorney to join their pre-litigation team in Irvine, CA. The firm specializes in insurance defense litigation, focusing on personal injury and catastrophic injury claims. This role offers an opportunity to gain experience in insurance defense, claims, settlements, and post-settlement court approvals.
Duties
- Communicate with counsel and parties to secure necessary documents for case settlements.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel regarding case status.
- Ensure timely payment issuance to claimants through carrier communications.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve case settlement issues.
- Prepare and review Minor's Compromise Judicial Council forms.
- Draft petitions to approve compromise of claims of minors.
- Attend hearings as required.
