Title :

Registered Nurse – PACU

Location :

900 23rd Street NW, Washington, DC 20037

Shift :

8-hour Day Shift (7 : 00 AM – 3 : 00 PM), Monday to Friday

Duration :

40 hours per week | Total 720 hours (approx. 13 weeks)

Job Description

Monitor and assess post-operative patients’ recovery and consciousness from anesthesia.

Record and track vital signs, reporting changes to the medical team.

Identify and manage anesthesia-related complications or side effects.

Administer pain management and antiemetic medications as prescribed.

Document patient care, progress notes, and vital information in EMR.

Provide education and discharge instructions to patients and families on post-surgery care.

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient patient care.

Imp Notes

Experience :

Minimum 2 years ICU experience required.

Recent PACU / Preop experience required.

Certifications :

BLS, ACLS, PALS – Required

CPAN, TNCC, CCRN – Highly desirable

Education :

Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program – Required

BSN – Highly preferred

Licensure :

Current and active RN license in the District of Columbia – Required

Weekly Breakdown :

Weekly Gross : $2,475.00 Per Week
