Position Description :
We are seeking a motivated Performance Analysis Intern to join our Data Science team. This role offers hands-on experience in analyzing operational data from wind, solar, and energy storage assets to identify performance improvement opportunities. The intern will work closely with asset management and engineering teams to optimize plant performance through data-driven insights.
Duties :
- Develop and maintain dashboards and performance reports for internal stakeholders.
- Assist in SCADA data quality control and anomaly detection using statistical and machine learning techniques.
- Collaborate with plant operations staff to troubleshoot underperformance issues
- Maintain and enhance internal performance monitoring processes via GIT
- Learn, understand and potentially improve the digital twin modelling for solar
- Review capacity testing results
- Support root cause analysis for underperforming assets and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications :
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Renewable), Data Science, Statistics, Physics, or a related discipline.Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.Proficient in data analysis tools such as Python, R, and MATLAB; familiarity with pandas and SQL is considered beneficial.Experience with data visualization platforms like Power BI and Tableau is advantageous.Effective communication skills and ability to contribute in a team environment.Shows interest in renewable energy and sustainability topics.Preferred Skills :
Knowledge of SCADA systems and time-series data analysis.Exposure to machine learning techniques for anomaly detection.Understanding of weather data and its impact on renewable energy performance.Knowledge of renewable energy systems and performance modeling tools (e.g., PVSYST)Attributes :
