Supply Chain Internship

Internship Dates : Full Time for approximately 12 weeks (May - August). Position may extend through expected graduation date. As a Supply Chain Intern, you will gain knowledge and understanding of the business through hands on activities, coaching, and projects. A few learning opportunities include :

  • Develop expertise in Supply Chain fundamentals and categories.
  • Gain exposure to warehousing contracts and vendor relationship management.
  • Gather and analyze data to provide meaningful insights.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, Transportation, Logistics, Plant Operations and Finance on unique and focused project work.
  • Maintain updated records of agreements and contracts.
  • Introduction to and use of an MRP / ERP system to perform activities efficiently.
  • Assist with Supply Chain initiatives.
  • Analyze overall Supply Chain processes and suggest improvements.
  • Manage short-term project(s) and structure a presentation for Management team.
  • Prepare and or review various Key Performance Indicator reports.
  • Participate in vendor and internal meetings.
  • Learn and apply different types of software, e.g., Excel spreadsheets, to problems.
  • Project management support : Work closely with teams to drive and execute product handling and movement activities in cross-functional project stakeholders regarding deliverables. Coordinate cross-functional input from project stakeholders. Assist in administrative tracking of deliverables.
  • Some travel and plant visits could be included as part of the learning experience.

Minimum Qualifications (Required) : Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Have the desire and ability to work well both independently and cross functionally. Are willing to engage others through strong communication and leadership skills. Are an inquisitive individual that has a desire to gain knowledge through experience. Ability to perform all duties required in both office and manufacturing environments wearing proper PPE. Have reliable transportation to and from working location.
