Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Pathology Assistant Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 11 / 03 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Travel (will they have contact w / patients?) No contact with patients. No MLT or MT certification needed. Yes they will need to be an ASCP registered PA. What areas do they cover? (Hematology / Serology, Chemistry / Coag, Micro, & Blood Bank) Surgical Pathology only. Do they need to be a Generalist? No. Do they need to perform Phlebotomy? No. Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties PA Grossing of complex specimens. The focus of this individual will primarily be on the higher complexity specimens : colon cancers, breast cancers, whipples, etc. It will likely not be the lower complexity specimens like gallbladder, appendix, uterus, etc. LIS System (ie.
