$3,008 per week

About The Position

Job Title : PICU Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

Duration : 8 weeks

Shift : Day 4x12

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years required; first-time travelers accepted

License : Active RN license required

Certifications : BLS, PALS required; CPI preferred

Must-Have :

  • 2 years of PICU experience
  • Experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit preferred
  • Charge experience and trauma experience required
  • Patient ratio experience

Description :

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit team.

This position involves providing advanced care to critically ill children.

Candidates should have a strong background in pediatric nursing with a focus on complex cases.

Must be able to manage a patient load of 1 : 2, transitioning to 1 : 3 for intermediate care patients.

Floating to different pediatric specialties may be required, including NICU and Pediatric Emergency Department.

Experience with mechanical ventilation, cardiac care, and high acuity cases is essential.

Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in multiple nursing skills, including but not limited to :

  • Management of ventilated patients
  • Central line care and blood draws
  • Pediatric dosage calculations
  • Infection control practices

    • Weekend and holiday shifts are required every other weekend and holiday.

    Travelers must comply with all orientation and training requirements before starting.
