Must-Have :

• Critical care and / or previous procedural experience
• ICU or ED experience
• Previous IR experience preferred
• Moderate sedation experience

Description :

Candidates must have interventional radiology experience.

This is a night position.

The unit has a total of 24 beds.

Patient ratios are 3-4 : 1 in pre / post, and 1 : 1 intraprocedural.

There is CNA support in both pre and post areas.

Type of equipment includes IV pumps, specialty beds, bedside monitors, and telemetry boxes.

The documentation system is Cerner.

Floating policy : We do not float, but we do flex based on volume.

Experience with all cardiac diagnoses is required, with an emphasis on vascular patients.

Skills required include handling intravenous drug administration, chest tubes, and central venous access.

Advanced skills needed are ACLS and PALS certification.

Procedures performed on the unit include interventional radiology, invasive CT, and invasive ultrasound cases.

Dress code requires green hospital-issued scrubs.

Consideration for new equipment or technology, tenure, and experience of staff, and schedule options may enhance the appeal of this position.

The unit is recognized for involvement in trauma and stroke codes.

This is a comprehensive stroke center.
