Job Summary : Job with primary responsibility for fully understanding and supporting the department and company goals, policies and procedures to lead, support and direct the Layout department. The Layout Coordinator is responsible for orchestrating the layout of all publications, including special sections as well as coordinating press schedules to send to Susquehanna Printing Company (another Steinman Communications company).Essential Job Functions : Performs tasks in a safe and efficient manner, immediately addressing any safety issues or deficiencies that may arise.Lay out each publication based on set parameters considering the editorial needs and percentage of advertising goal.Accommodate advertising placement requests and late ads to help achieve advertising revenue goals.Be aware of advertising deadlines to build publications on time for editorial.Send layouts to editorial and pre-press then update layouts with changes as they occur.Work together with advertising, editorial and pre-press.Send report of daily plans for LNP to editorial, prepress and the press.Maintain records of LNP Daily and Sunday advertising percentages.Additional Responsibilities : Work with Pre-press to divide layout responsibilitiesHave the ability to help the prepress department with some design work in InDesign.Actively participates in department strategy sessions.Stays abreast of trends, industry changes, technological and operational updates.Promotes positive working relationships among production, marketing and sales staffs.Projects a professional, positive and enthusiastic image while performing daily duties.
Qualifications
Qualifications : Undergraduate degree preferredExcellent computer / typing skillsProficient with Microsoft office software productsStrong interpersonal, organizational and time management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills
