We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee and manage our public construction projects from start to finish.

Position Overview : The Superintendent is responsible for on-site management and coordination of construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. This is a leadership role that requires excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, quality control, and safety compliance.
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project plans.
  • Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and schedules to coordinate daily tasks.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards and safety regulations are met.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and inspectors.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager and executive team.
  • Address and resolve any issues or delays that arise during the construction process.
  • Ensure all work complies with building codes, regulations, and project specifications.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and other project documentation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in public sector construction; specific Public Works construction experience is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
