Kiewit Nuclear Solutions - Instrumentation & Controls Engineer - Lead - Lenexa, KS & Oak Ridge, TN
We are seeking experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineers to join our team at Kiewit Nuclear Solutions. This role involves designing, reviewing, and coordinating electrical engineering systems for nuclear and industrial projects. The position offers an opportunity to work in a stable, innovative environment with a focus on safety, cost-efficiency, and excellence. Locations available in Lenexa, KS, and Oak Ridge, TN.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review detailed engineering calculations including power studies, short circuit, cable ampacity, voltage drop, breaker coordination, motor starting, protective relay settings, and arc-flash.
- Develop equipment procurement specifications and participate in bid evaluations.
- Create scoping documents for conceptual designs and conduct constructability reviews.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and clients, including site visits and design reviews.
- Design and review lighting, communication, and security systems.
