Learning & Performance Training Coordinator

Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOA-Greater New York) is an anti-poverty organization working to end homelessness in the New York area by 2050. We operate over 60 programs across New York City, Northern New Jersey and Westchester County including emergency, transitional and permanent housing. Our services extend to families experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, people living with HIV / AIDS, veterans, youth aging out of foster care, adults with behavioral health or substance use needs , and others in need, including a special education preschool program.

Position : Learning and Performance Training Coordinator (Hybrid Remote)

The Learning and Performance Trainer is responsible for developing learning strategies for employee development. Their duties include speaking with program staff and Human Resources personnel to determine training needs, implementing training programs, and reviewing data from previous training programs to determine their effectiveness in helping employees learn and develop skills and / or knowledge.

Location : New York, NY 10020

Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree, plus two years of experience training or teaching.
• Familiarity with modern and traditional training methods.
• Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
• Ability to plan, manage time and multitask effectively.
• Advanced database and computer skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Good collaboration and teamwork skills.
