A company is looking for an Insurance Specialist to manage patient insurance information and ensure compliance with established policies.
Key Responsibilities
Verify and ensure the accuracy of financial, insurance, and demographic information for patients
Obtain and confirm insurance eligibility, benefit information, and compliance with requirements
Resolve issues related to primary insurance and coordination of benefits (COB)
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Two years of experience in healthcare insurance eligibility, verification, or billing
Knowledge of insurance coverage and COB rules
Experience with insurance payor systems
EPIC training / experience and ICD-10 medical terminology experience preferred
