Fundraising Event Manager

The Fundraising Event Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing fundraising and donor engagement events designed to generate revenue, enhance donor relationships, and raise awareness of the organization's mission. This position is a key member of the Ascension Saint Thomas Foundation's fundraising team implementing strategies to meet revenue targets while closely managing event expenses.

Lead fundraising strategy for Foundation's three annual signature events : Good Health Golf Classic, Seton Celebration, and Rock the Cradle.

Manage and direct volunteer committees composed of community leaders who generously give their time and talent to support the organization's fundraising event efforts.

Work with contracted consultants and event vendors to ensure financial success of Foundation events.

Collaborate with Foundation annual giving and major gifts staff to identify event supporters who have capacity and propensity to contribute to the organization's mission beyond event attendance.

Participate in fundraising campaigns, grant administration, major gift and / or charitable development programs.

  • Assist with fundraising campaigns including budgets and timelines.
  • Coordinate the creative process, file selection, production and mailing, and the acknowledgement process.
  • Support strategy to train staff on marketing campaigns, soliciting donors, and defining levels of giving and benefits.
  • Create printed materials and update databases and websites with campaign program information.
  • Implement donor relations / recognition activities.
  • Develop donor confidence and relationships through effective gift solicitation, processing, and acknowledgement.
  • Support the development and implementation of tracking strategies for solicitation efforts and perform analysis of data for results.
  • Contribute to Mission effectiveness by promoting the spirit embodied with the Mission Statement : Service to the poor, Reverence, Integrity, Wisdom, Creativity, Dedication.
  • Develop and manage Employee Giving Campaign, Physicians Appeals and Nursing Alumnae Reunion and Campaign, and other campaigns.
  • Visit, cultivate and encourage internal leaders and execute key campaign steps including mailings, meetings, presentations, asks, and acknowledgement process.
  • Create a strategy to train staff, market program and solicit donors, defining levels of giving and benefits, creating printed materials for member cards and spring roll-out, updating website with FFL campaign program information, and seeking best practices from other systems.
  • Serve as Database Manager and manage the master list of key constituencies; past and current boards and committees; physicians; administrative staff; community leadership; government officials; major donors; etc.
  • Lead the Gift Acknowledgement Process, working in conjunction with data entry staff. All other duties as assigned.

Licensure / Certification / Registration : Certification specializing in Fund Raising preferred.

Education : High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associates degree / Bachelors degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
