Responsibilities Work in the Neuro ICU unit of a hospital setting Patient ratio is 1 : 2 Care for neurological and stroke patients Required to float to ICU and Med Surg units as needed Night shift schedule (3x12-hour shifts, 19 : 00-07 : 30) Works every other weekend and 50% of holidays Uses Cerner EMR (experience preferred but not required) Floating to other ICU and Med Surg units is mandatory for all travelers May be required to float as a patient observer (sitter) Must work 50% of assigned holidays and every other weekend during the contract Returning travelers do not require re-orientation if returning within 18 months; a 9-month gap is required between assignments Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at a lower rate Applicants must submit all requested time off (RTO) at the point of consideration Requirements Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience with at least 1 year in ICU with strong neuro background Stroke experience required CPI certification preferred (especially for Behavioral Health roles); course can be completed onsite if pending Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624659.
