Job Description
In this role, you will assess the company’s current state of safety, help ensure compliance with safety standards, and develop practical guidelines, protocols, and training programs that fit. You will work closely with foremen at customer sites, as well as teams across our multiple locations, to build and maintain a safety-first culture on every jobsite.
This hybrid position requires up to 50% travel to customer sites and a minimum of 2 days per week in Cokato, MN when not traveling, ensuring strong support for safety practices both in-house and on the jobsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation, and improvement of safety policies, procedures, and documentation to maintain compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
- Partner with foremen, supervisors, and project managers to identify hazards and create simple, effective solutions.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits across company facilities and job sites.
- Coordinate and deliver safety training, including onboarding, annual refreshers, forklift training, Lock-out / Tag-out, fall protection, and more.
- Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Help maintain accurate OSHA logs, SDS sheets, and compliance records.
- Collaborate with HR to support return-to-work and accommodation programs.
- Lead and participate in safety committee meetings, driving engagement and accountability.
- Travel to job sites to monitor, support, and reinforce safety practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and stay current with industry trends.
What We’re Looking For
Required :
5 years of experience in safety, EHS, or related role within manufacturing, construction, or food processing.Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and common workplace hazards.Experience supporting safety training or compliance programs.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate across all levels.Attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to travel up to 50% and be onsite in Cokato 2+ days per week.Preferred :
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).Professional safety certifications (OSHA 30, First Aid / CPR, ASP, GSP, etc.).Familiarity with construction safety, food processing, or electrical safety standards.
