Lead Electrical Engineer – Actalent
Location : Boulder City, Nevada (on-site). Job Type : Contract to Hire. Duration : 18 months with potential for full-time employment.
Overview
Lead Electrical Engineer responsible for managing and driving electrical engineering projects from inception to completion. Provide technical expertise, guide teams, design electrical systems, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee electrical engineering projects from conception to completion.
- Provide technical expertise, guidance, and facilitation to team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders for successful project execution.
- Design and develop electrical systems and components, including PCBs.
- Mentor and support junior engineers.
- Work closely with technicians during prototype building.
- Engage with engineers, technicians, and stakeholders for continuous quality improvement.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Expertise in electrical engineering and electrical design.Proficiency in power supplies, power generation, and control systems for pumps and valves.Experience with high power electronics (100 W+ to 30–80 kW).Comfort with 400 V DC and 480 V AC systems.Strong understanding of component theory for circuit boards and PCB design.Experience with batteries, controllers, and voltage conversion.Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronics, engineering, science, or mathematics.6+ years of experience in high power electronics.Familiarity with SolidWorks or NX; PCB design tools such as Altium and Mentor Graphics.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with military specifications and connectors.Understanding of space considerations and application in engineering designs.Work Environment
On-site office in Boulder City, Nevada. Casual dress code. Small office setting.
Pay & Benefits
Pay Range : $80.00 – $100.00 per hour.
