Description :
Assist cardiologists in performing invasive and diagnostic cardiac and vascular procedures.
Operate a variety of electrical and imaging equipment and computers.
Demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving skills.
Organize and prioritize performance based on procedural findings.
Advocate for patients' needs.
Interpret hemodynamic and procedural results and outcomes.
Select and operate procedural supplies and equipment based on findings.
Operate both monophasic and biphasic defibrillators.
Effectively communicate and educate patients during procedures to alleviate anxiety.
Recognize and assist with any anesthesia needs for deeply sedated or anesthetized patients.
Collaborate with research staff in laboratory-based research activities.
Facilitate optimal patient safety, satisfaction, and outcomes during procedures.
Direct team members when necessary to uphold standards of excellence in patient care.
Train and mentor team members effectively.
Engage professionally with vendors to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.
Stay updated on knowledge and skills as equipment changes occur.
Examine and evaluate equipment daily for adequate performance and safety.
Manage digital archiving systems for storing patient images and reports.
Promptly notify personnel of malfunctioning equipment.
Demonstrate troubleshooting skills for equipment operations.
Query archived images and create CDs for patient information transmission.
Provide care for patients undergoing invasive procedures following established guidelines and standards.
Report significant observations and document care provided.
Maintain knowledge of aseptic techniques and ensure proper practices are followed.
Assist in preparing instruments for sterilization.
Suggest procedural equipment changes for quality care enhancement.
Prepare and maintain a sterile field.
Identify deviations from aseptic techniques by others and correct them.
Accurate interpretation of EKGs and alert physicians to any irregularities.
