Records And Recovery Specialist

As our Records and Recovery Specialist, you will :

  • Be responsible for auditing and scanning all non-real estate related loan applications for completeness following disbursement.
  • Process all vehicle titles through the Secretary of State website.
  • Be responsible for vehicle title tracking, to include lien recording, lien releasing, and cancellation of paid papers for all branches.
  • Participate in cross training and learns new tasks to enable job rotation within the department.
  • Monitor all collection activity by 3rd party collection agency.
  • File CUNA payment protection claims and posts payments. Post GAP and MRC refunds when received.
  • Work negative share and checking queue, sends 45 day Courtesy Pay letters. Contact members for workouts / repayment and sends appropriate documentation.
  • Charge off share draft accounts and collects on the outstanding balances if workouts cannot be arranged. Maintains Chexsystems files.
  • Maintain Collateral Protection Insurance program to include tracking, placement of insurance, and member contact for all loans.
  • Assist insurance companies with total losses, including filing GAP and MRC claims.
  • Remain current and informed on policy and procedural changes. Assist in maintaining compliance, procedural and opening manuals.

Requirements :

  • High school graduate
  • One year experience in full-service financial institution
  • Understand and follow all regulations and reporting requirements
  • Proficient in computer applications associated with the job
  • Able to work without close supervision
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Collections experience preferred but not required

    Hours :

    M-F 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM

    Rotating : 8 : 30 AM to 6 : 00 PM, Saturday 8 : 45 AM to 1 : 15PM
