Patient Population : Heart , Lung, and Vascular

Shift : Full Time / 3 / 12’s / Days \n
Type of Cases : This is a Cardiovascular Universal Bed Model unit that spans TelePCU to CVICU. CV Surgeries, LUMBAR, CRRT, Balloon Pump, Impella, CRRT. Very demanding, no push / pull, can’t be un attended in restroom.

Patient Ratios : CVICU 1 : 1, ICU 1 : 2, PCU : 1 : 3, TELE 1 : 4
\n
Required Experience : Knowledge in common Cardiovascular ICU Procedures, Hemodynamics, medications. You must have (1) one year (prefer 2 yrs) of recent, full-time Cardiovascular ICU / CVICU

As a Registered Nurse, will oversee patient care provided by the healthcare team using a professional practice model. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses.

What You'll Do

- You, as an RN, will conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Adjust plans to reach desired outcomes.
\n
Building relationships, managing discomfort, staying professional are vital in therapeutic connections with patients and families.\n
Creating care plans reflecting values aids in resolving issues.\n
You will help educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices. Assess and document learning needs regularly.\n
Work with colleagues and community to create a care plan. Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly.\n
You'll use different strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff. Recognize limitations and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.\n
Achieve goals through teamwork, recognize contributions, commit to growth. Contribute to peers' development, show community service commitment.\n \n

A deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards, as well as procedures.\n
Know nursing laws, rules, standards, and guidelines in your area. Understand hospital procedures and rules.\n
Proficiency in medical terms, focusing on health, disease prevention, management, common meds, and their side effects.\n
Respect for medical and professional nursing ethics and patient privacy rights.\n
Exceptional communication skills, allowing for clear expression of thoughts both verbally and in writing.\n
Positive social skills to facilitate interactions with a diverse range of parties.\n

Grad of an Accredited Program2yr or more of RN experienceStrong cardiovascular experience in ICU or PCU requiredCVICU experience highly preferredSpecialized field of study should be nursing.RN license.Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
