Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Technician to join our team in a pathology laboratory setting. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting laboratory operations through meticulous organization, processing, and quality assurance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Organize blocks in numerical and alphabetical order for efficient block filing.
• Operate the block melter for block melting tasks.
• Perform block quality assurance, particularly with Beaker Go Live, involving computer work.
• Pick up rush tissue cassettes and load them onto the tissue processor.
• Operate the xylene recycler for recycling tasks.
• Clean molds using the mold cleaning unit.
• Pick up tool boxes as required.
• Change routine H&E stainer as part of daily operations.
• Pull blocks for recuts when necessary.
• Assist in changing tissue processors as needed.

Work Environment

Work as part of the histology team within a pathology laboratory at our main campus. This role requires collaboration with team members and interaction with various laboratory instrumentation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Cleveland, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00 / hr.
