Travel Nursing Job Details

Position : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg)

Location : Dothan, AL 36305 (Alabama nursing jobs)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Start Date : October 20, 2025

End Date : January 19, 2026

Shift : 12-hour day shifts (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM)

Hours per Week : 36

Openings : 2 Med / Surg RN positions

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1570 - $1680

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (Alabama or compact state)

At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience

BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required

Experience with Cerner EMR preferred

Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility (travel nurse requirement)

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients on the Medical-Surgical unit

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and clinical progress

Administer medications and treatments per physician orders

Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members

Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge instructions

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR
